Peter Smith has been invited to work with  Derwent Living in the selection of appropriate Social Enterprises in which to invest, to add to the range of services that Derwent offers it's tennants.

Derwent Living is a not-for-profit organisation providing affordable living to suit a range of lifestyles. Formed in 1964, Derwent Living works with customers to build thriving communities where people want to live. Derwent Living manages more than 11,000 properties in the Midlands, South Yorkshire and the South East.

Derwent are now looking to expand the range of services they offer to their tennants and have enaged Peter Smith from Oakbridge Associates to assist them in finding new or established Social Enterprises that would be keen to work with Derwent Living. The project will indentify four or five "Not for Profit" companies that are ideally placed to grow and will gain from the support from a larger orgranisation, like Derwent.

Each organisation selected will be invited to present to a panel of selectors made up from the Board and Senior Management Team at Derwent. The organisation finally selected will be offered further investment to support them in their plans to develop.
